Julep August It Girl Box Review

Hello Lovelies! I'm back! Things have been busy, busy, busy here but I'm now up & running again! I have several reviews I'll be posting in the next week starting with the fabulous August Julep Box!

First off, how cute is this box!? I'm a fuchsia lover so I was super excited when I saw this box (usually black or white). As it turns out, August was Julep's 2 year anniversary so you can expect the contents were super fun!

On the inside, it read...
Maven's turning two!
It's been two years since we mailed our first Maven Box.
In that time, we've learned a lot, grown a lot, and
welcomed many Mavens into the Julep family. Thanks
so much for your feedback, loyalty, and enthusiasm for
the work we do-it means everything to us.

How sweet! Inside the cute little stuffings in the box was a pack of Forget-Me-Not Seeds that read 'Thanks for helping us grow into something beautiful.' and the quote card reading 'And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.' -Anais Nin

Now for the polishes! I picked out the It Girl Box which contained 3 stunning polishes!
Nellie-Pink fuchsia creme
Marjorie-Citrus orange frost
Fiore-Espresso brown creme
I saw the colors & was automatically inspired to try my first eve leopard print nails!

These colors are perfect together! I do have to say, I'm pretty proud of my first leopard print too! As far as the colors go...

Nellie is beautiful! I was surprised to see it barely needed a second coat. It is super creamy & the perfect thickness. I love how inside, it is a dark fuchsia/plum color but in the sun, it is almost neon! I'm in love!

Fiore is a great dark brown. To me, it is the exact color as melted dark chocolate! Yummy! Fiore is also creamy & only a 2-coater.

Marjorie  is an awesome shade of orange, like tangerine-peel orange with a hint of orange shimmer. I love it but sadly, after 3 coats, it still wasn't fully opaque. Don't let it hold you back though! If you are using any type of details or designs, it will be hard to notice (like on mine).

Last of all, these are the other products I used & are all must-haves! I rotate the Oxygen nail treatment (far left) & Nailtiques Formula 2 (far right) every week & love them evenly. As the top-coat I always use the Freedom Polymer Top-Coat (middle). The Freedom Top-Coat is the best top coat I have ever tried. It dries within 2-5 minutes & dries just like a gel so it is tough as ever!

I am so pleased with my It Girl Box this month & can't wait to get the next one. I'm counting the days! Happy Anniversary Julep & many more to come!
